At North View Middle Schoolwe believe that our students education does not end when the school bell rings. Because of this belief we offer a number of after school activities for our students to participate in. Today I would like to highlight our Girls on the Run program. The program is accessible to all girls regardless of athletic ability or fitness level and considers the range of ages and varied experiences of middle schoolers. Activities include strength and conditioning training and the season culminates with the “Girls on the Run 5k”. This celebratory event was held this past weekend on June 3rd and underscores the confidence, competence, connection, character and caring they’ve been developing in the program.

At North VMS we believe that our students education does not end when the school bell rings. Because of this belief we offer a number of after school activities for our students to participate in. The first I would like to highlight in this post is our Public Art Club. The Public Art Club meets after school at North View Middle School to create art that can be staged in a public domain to be accessible to all. This year they created displays to highlight the five regions of the world. The work is displayed on our locker banks and represent the 50+ countries that our students and their families originate from. The regions are Africa, The Americas, Asia/Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. The groups next project will focus on the foods of these 5 regions and will be displayed in the cafeteria. Thank you to Ms. Plum, Visual Arts teacher at North View, for leading this group of students.
Other after school programming opportunities offered to our students this year are listed below.
