At North View Middle School we believe that students learn best when involved in active and purposeful learning opportunities. To ensure this happens, we use the nature of young adolescents to guide our instructional decision making.
Whether it is Mrs. Jame’s Science class where students were being introduced to engineering concepts,
Ms. Schiferli’s Spanish class where students were practicing the Spanish alphabet,
During a sixth grade Humanities experience where students studied the lives of the Dakota and Ojibwe people,
Or lastly, when analyzing the use of personification in the poem entitled “What do we do with a variation?”
We are excited to offer our students these experiences because they; increase student engagement, foster student ownership in their learning and lead to levels of understanding unlikely to occur with more traditional classroom experiences.
